At kasper architects, we take your data very seriously. We have brought on a proactive, full-service Technology and Infrastructure company to help us create a robust Disaster Recovery Plan. This plan allows us to minimize the amount of time our services are interrupted. In most cases, this means that we are back up and running on the same day of the occurrence.

This quick recovery is accomplished by our nightly full-system backups. Each night, our data is collected and then used to create “image level backups,” which get stored on both a local machine and offsite in a secure cloud. In the event of a catastrophic failure; weather event, or breach, this data can be fully restored right back onto the current machines and hardware. If the current machines and hardware fail, the same data can be quickly restored onto a new or “loaner” machine.

To ensure that these backups are completed properly, we perform a test restore once per quarter. We use this test to check for any unexpected issues and make changes if necessary. We are also able to use this test to get an idea of our restore times and roughly judge how long it would take for us to get our systems back up and running after a failure.

The last piece to our Disaster Recovery Plan is the people behind our Technology and Infrastructure team.  Not only do they take our data seriously, they know how important it is for us to keep it protected. If a system restore is required, they are able to allocate as many people as necessary to ensure a speedy and smooth recovery. They can be onsite in minutes to evaluate hardware, provide loaner hardware, perform and monitor the restore, and verify that everything is working properly.

With these proactive disaster recovery procedures and policies, we are confident that our service down time will be kept to a minimum, and that our data will be secure.

ka+ made our entire project from design to inception to construction seem simple without missing a single detail— the exact service we knew we would get by using kasper architects.
